Based on Australian Standards, glass pool fencing should have at least 1200mm (1.2m) from the ground surface. In usual circumstances, adding to the pool fencing height increases safety, but these standards have a 5 year-old child in mind so a higher fence won't help with older kids who would get over the fence.
